I miss having the manual. I loved it despite the BS amounts of traffic i sit in. Now I find it annoying to be bothered to push a button to shift so I just say fuck it and stuff it in the D.
Don’t be a dick and tailgate me. If you do, and someone has lost a ladder ont he street, I’ll wait to move around it until you can’t avoid it and have to stop. I’m sure that was a dick move but it was earned.

Pulled that move with a piece of re-tread in the road about a month ago. It was so sweet to hear it slam in to the bumper of the POS civic behind me. I’m sure it would’ve looked good too, but I couldn’t see his bumper he was so close.

if they ever make them again I would be very tempted. 2014 hatches are still over $20k so its almost liek paying the new car price for a 3 year old car. my wife hated that car and would be livid if I showed up with one again so that wouldn’t be a fun time either.

I feel ya. Drove manual for 10 years until an accident resulted in having to dump the car. Got an auto because...DC traffic and needed a backup car that wife can drive. I don’t have buttons but that +/- crap just isn’t the same. That and my left leg is now smaller than my right.

Ford makes a nice beige interior. I’m really impressed with my SEL’s interior feel, though after 92k miles it has some squeaks and rattles.
Also, those shift buttons are a tease. It’s like the TCM is voting by committee whether it should acknowledge your input. It responds eventually, which is usually too late. Sport mode is pretty good, though.

Brother! I’ve only seen a few Frosted Glass SEL hatchbacks, but Oppo would be the place to find another. We’re a haven for obscure stuff. I like the SEL trim level. It’s a pity Ford killed it after 2012. If they hadn’t, I might have waited for a ‘13 with a 5 speed, but I didn’t want the push button start and MyFordTouch all the Titaniums had, so I bought my car right at the end of the model year. This was probably one of the last off the production line.
Have you had any Powershift problems?

With the DCT? Aside from the missing clutch pedal I get some chattering here and there but nothing that’s made me want to drive off a cliff. How about u

Mine shifted like a teenager learning to drive a stick for the first few years I had it. There was a TSB released sometime in 2015 that dramatically improved shift quality. Now it shifts like a decent automatic unless I do a sudden, heavy throttle application when the car is rolling at low speed - that causes a shudder. Before the software update, it shuddered all the time.
I’ve had no clutch-ruining trans fluid leaks, though, which was common on early Powershifts. I did lose the Transmission Control Module, but that was warrantied since it’s a common issue.
